Base Salary
$176k - $282k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and optimize complex OpenSearch visualization solutions.
- Lead data ingestion, index modeling, aggregation, search optimization, and tuning strategies.
- Develop custom plugins, React components, and visualization extensions for OpenSearch or Kibana.
- Partner with product owners and engineering teams to translate mission needs into technical solutions.
- Resolve performance and scalability challenges in distributed systems and scalable pipelines.
- Enforce quality, security, and maintainability standards.
- Lead technical initiatives and evaluate new technologies for the visualization platform.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with a relevant polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience, master’s degree with 10 years, or PhD with 7 years; four additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
- At least 5 years of OpenSearch or Elasticsearch experience with dashboard customization.
- Deep expertise in search optimization, indexing, and tuning.
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Experience developing custom plugins for OpenSearch or Kibana.
- Experience designing scalable pipelines and understanding distributed systems and REST APIs.
- Cloud, containerization, and CI/CD experience.
- Preferred experience with observability stacks, mission-centric search systems, enterprise visualization integrations, or security- and compliance-heavy environments.
- Strong communication, proactive problem-solving, autonomy, and technical leadership skills.
