Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Python automation frameworks for controlling and monitoring hardware test benches.
- Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab CI, for continuous testing and rapid deployment.
- Assemble, configure, and maintain computer systems and physical hardware test rigs.
- Administer, patch, and tune Linux-based test environments.
- Triage test bench failures across software, network, and hardware layers.
- Collaborate with test engineers and firmware/software teams to define automation requirements and integrate hardware.
- Monitor system health and pipeline performance, resolve bottlenecks and recurring failures, and document tooling and troubleshooting procedures.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience writing Python for automation, scripting, or hardware/CLI interaction.
- Experience working in Linux environments with shell scripting, file permissions, and package management.
- Hands-on experience assembling or maintaining physical computer hardware.
- Ability to troubleshoot and isolate root causes across software, network, and hardware layers under time pressure.
- Preferred experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions; Linux monitoring and observability tooling; hardware test benches or QA lab infrastructure; network troubleshooting; and cross-functional work with firmware, software, or DevOps teams.
