Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend applications supporting Mercado Ads’ advertising auction flow.
- Participate in architecture decisions, requirements analysis, and solution design with cross-functional teams.
- Evaluate and implement technologies to evolve the platform architecture and engineering processes.
- Design and implement highly available, low-latency critical components.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize backend services and support platform growth.
- Operate and maintain critical components handling high traffic and low latency.
Requirements
- Strong backend development skills in Java.
- Solid knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, and software development best practices.
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools to improve processes and accelerate team development workflows.
- Experience designing and developing distributed architectures and scalable, highly available microservices.
- Experience operating and maintaining critical, high-traffic, low-latency components.
