Responsibilities
- Perform subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, subsystem integration, system integration, and testing.
- Participate in software requirements reviews, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness reviews, and software acceptance reviews.
- Research technical problems and develop solutions.
- Support the continued development and sustainment of the U.S. Navy’s Aegis Weapons System in a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- 0–2 years of experience in real-time mission-critical development, maintenance, or support, including relevant open/layered architecture, operating environment, model-based tools, information assurance, tools development, safety analysis, real-time system data analysis, problem analysis, or system integration experience.
- Experience with object-oriented design and development, including design patterns, software insulation techniques, and plugins.
- Experience developing software with Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with Windows, Solaris, Linux, Solaris or other UNIX scripting, Eclipse or comparable integrated development environments, UML, and driver-based or automated test environments.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a government Secret clearance and other required authorizations.
- ClearCase, JIRA, xUnit, JUnit, CPPUnitLite, CMMI Level 5 processes, and assembler experience are preferred or considered a plus.
