Base Salary
$131k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements identification, definition, and analysis.
- Create detailed software design documentation.
- Develop software and write meaningful unit tests.
- Propose changes and improvements to Java infrastructure.
- Participate in peer code reviews.
- Prepare deployable software components and associated deployment documentation.
- Support production systems by troubleshooting issues through analysis of log files and related data.
- Collaborate with CONUS and OCONUS teams across time zones and support mission activities locally and overseas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related subject plus at least 12 years of experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus at least 10 years of experience, or 16 years of relevant work experience with college coursework and certifications in lieu of a degree.
- Active and in-scope TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
- Proficiency with Java, Java EE, Java Secure Sockets, Spring, JPA or Hibernate, and Tomcat or a similar application server.
- Experience with React or other JavaScript technologies, HTML, CSS, and web service development.
- Experience with Python and/or Bash, MySQL or similar relational databases, Git, Linux command line environments, and Java build and dependency-management tools.
- Experience with VS Code, Eclipse, or IntelliJ and software testing and unit-testing frameworks such as JUnit.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, independent-work, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud development, storage technologies, serverless functions, cloud APIs, Android development, security best practices, automated testing tools, Linux system administration, and willingness to travel OCONUS.
Benefits
- Pay range is $131,300.00 to $237,350.00.
- The role supports locally based and OCONUS mission activities and may require OCONUS travel.
- The position involves collaboration across CONUS and OCONUS teams and varying time zones.
