Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of embedded systems software and FPGA designs.
- Assist with requirements documents, block diagrams, design documents, and interface control documents.
- Participate in software and FPGA implementation and execute integration-level test plans.
- Support senior engineers with test-plan development, hardware bring-up, integration, and final system validation.
- Perform basic debugging and troubleshooting while collaborating with engineering teams.
- Follow applicable environmental, health, safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of C and C++ programming and familiarity with Verilog for FPGA development.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems, FPGA programming, hardware/software trade-offs, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- VHDL experience is beneficial but not required.
- Experience with embedded Linux or real-time operating systems is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, communicate clearly, plan and organize work, solve problems, and maintain high quality standards.
- Interest in laser systems and willingness to contribute to real product development.
