Base Salary
$219k - $301k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze CPU, storage, networking, and GPU architectures to identify platform resource bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with software product teams to re-architect services, redesign algorithms, improve performance, and reduce resource consumption.
- Develop C++, Python, and Hack benchmarks to capture fleet requirements and evaluate upcoming platforms.
- Conduct fleet-wide workload analysis and assess the effect of evolving business needs on compute and storage performance.
- Identify hardware/software co-design opportunities, conduct technology pathfinding, and define roadmaps.
- Influence vendor hardware roadmaps and the broader ecosystem to align with Meta’s infrastructure requirements.
- Partner with Product Engineering and Infrastructure Engineering teams to deliver hardware capabilities into production and drive adoption.
- Publish work in conferences and industry journals and contribute to open source projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with programming and scripting languages such as C, C++, Java, PHP, and Python.
- At least 5 years of experience with hardware architecture, compute technologies, and/or storage systems.
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, and full-stack analysis of server applications.
- Preferred experience integrating AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and produce measurable impact.
- Preferred experience implementing responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality and accuracy reviews.
- Preferred ongoing AI skill development, including prompt/context engineering and agent orchestration.

- Base salary of $219,000/year to $301,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
