Base Salary
$90k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maximize system uptime and availability while meeting functional and performance SLAs.
- Establish end-to-end monitoring and alerting for critical systems and services.
- Troubleshoot complex problems in critical services and build automation to prevent recurrence.
- Create and influence platform designs, architectures, standards, and support methods.
- Lead scripting and automation for system updates and upgrades.
- Set up infrastructure, tools, and frameworks to streamline deployment cycles.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Services and Engineering teams.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience deploying, managing, and operating scalable, fault-tolerant Linux, Kubernetes, and JVM-based infrastructure in AWS, GCP, and other public clouds.
- Expertise in Linux operating systems, networking, and database concepts.
- Experience deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters and workloads.
- Experience with Cassandra or another NoSQL alternative.
- Expertise with cloud providers including Amazon Web Services, Azure, and GCP.
- Experience with configuration management systems such as Puppet.
- Experience using Bash or Python to automate and monitor systems.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting commercial SaaS solutions as a DevOps or systems administrator.
