Software Engineer - Maritime Integrated Systems

Responsibilities
- Drive delivery of software integrated into autonomous maritime products, including autonomy, simulation, data processing, payload integration, and off-board command and control.
- Own customer-deployed software-enabled solutions and optimize delivery of value to end users.
- Design and implement scalable, reusable software with clear paths for architectural and capability evolution.
- Develop software running on and off robotic platforms.
- Design and execute development processes for vehicle and mission software across the full lifecycle, including testing, monitoring, operation, and sustainment.
- Create software- and hardware-in-the-loop test and simulation fixtures.
- Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
- Serve as a technical lead on a multidisciplinary engineering team and mentor Software Engineers from differing backgrounds.
- Travel to co-locate with end-users and/or other teams up to 20% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive professional experience working as a Software Engineer in one or more domains or technology areas.
- Systems or application programming skills in algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design, and system design.
- Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
- Ability to work across the software stack and through design, implementation, operation, and sustainment.
- Ability to own a software service, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, team coordination, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
- Ability to learn and grow while effectively mentoring junior team members and building team cohesion.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience delivering a military mission system.
- Preferred experience writing backend services or embedded software in C++, Rust, and/or Go.
- Preferred experience writing frontend applications using TypeScript and React.
- Preferred experience designing, implementing, and operating horizontally scaled cloud technologies.
- Preferred experience supporting embedded software, particularly in robotics.
- Preferred experience with modeling and simulation and high-assurance safety-critical software.
- Preferred experience across manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment.
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering concepts.
