Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate core platform services on AWS using Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
- Develop infrastructure as code, platform APIs, observability, and runtime tooling with Go and Node.js.
- Improve CI/CD, security, cost optimization, performance, automation, and self-service capabilities.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams on standards, architecture, and migrations to modern platform patterns.
- Own services through design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, incident response, and post-incident review.
- Lead initiatives, influence architecture, mentor engineers, share knowledge, and contribute to engineering culture.
Requirements
- Senior-level platform or SRE experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure for high-availability systems, ideally on AWS.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform or equivalent infrastructure as code, and CI/CD at scale.
- Proficiency in Go or Node.js for building platform tooling and services.
- Knowledge of networking, security, observability, and cost control in cloud-native environments.
- Experience leading initiatives, influencing architecture, and mentoring others.
- Pragmatic focus on clean, testable code, automation, and measurable impact.
- Preferred: Helm, service mesh, PostgreSQL, Redis or similar database operations, GitLab/GitHub ecosystem depth, policy-as-code, platform enablement, or fintech, payments, and POS experience.
