Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Advise DoD sponsors on secure, resilient cyber-physical systems, mission-system protection, defensive improvements, and resolution of security weaknesses.
- Apply Systems Security Engineering and cybersecurity principles to define and implement cross-domain solutions for developing and fielded systems.
- Recommend how systems should be specified, designed, developed, integrated, tested, validated, and sustained to meet security, resiliency, and safety requirements.
- Support security strategy development, security assessments, system testing and evaluation, and verification and validation activities.
- Serve as a systems security and cybersecurity subject matter expert and trusted independent advisor to sponsors, stakeholders, and collaborators.
- Research and develop technical capabilities and processes for assessing system and technology resilience and security.
- Communicate findings and recommendations through written deliverables, presentations, and collaborative discussions with government, industry, and MITRE partners.
Requirements
- Requires 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 6 years with a master's degree, 3 years with a PhD, or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Demonstrated technical depth in Systems Security Engineering, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
- Experience developing or evaluating Systems Security Engineering solutions and capabilities.
- Experience defining, developing, and validating cross-domain solutions.
- Knowledge of D3FEND, ATT&CK, Caldera, ATT&CK Evaluations, and MITRE's public-interest work.
- Must have an active Top Secret U.S. Government-issued security clearance and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for security-clearance consideration.
- Strong critical-thinking, research, problem-solving, written, oral, interpersonal, partnership, and collaboration skills.
