
Sr. Enterprise Architect
Northwestern MutualResponsibilities
- Evangelize Northwestern Mutual’s system architecture strategy across development teams.
- Develop proof-of-concept implementations, conduct research, and provide technical frameworks that improve delivery effectiveness.
- Collaborate across development teams to identify, define, and build reusable UI components.
- Research enterprise architecture methodologies and collaborate with colleagues on innovative solutions.
- Review enterprise-wide architecture and solutions, identify risks, and provide remediation recommendations aligned with standards and business strategies.
- Lead architectural discussions and build consensus among multiple stakeholders.
Requirements
- Require 4–6 years of professional experience building enterprise applications and helping lead technology change in an organization.
- Require experience designing and building applications using part or all of a modern development stack.
- Require strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and exposure to source control, build, unit testing, and continuous integration tools.
- Require the ability to lead architectural discussions and draw consensus among multiple stakeholders.
- Seek fast learners, self-starters, collaborators, and skilled communicators who can elicit feedback, translate requirements, and troubleshoot issues.
- Experience in financial services or another highly data-sensitive field is a bonus.
- A bachelor’s degree is desired.
