Base Salary

$175k - $270k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Drive the Wi-Fi software and product roadmap.
  • Debug and optimize kernel-level system performance.
  • Collaborate with RF and electrical engineers to improve software and hardware testing procedures.
  • Improve Wi-Fi mesh performance.
  • Create tools for more frequent and reliable software deployment, test execution, and data analysis within continuous integration and release systems.
  • Mentor software engineers and help build a strong work culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or another STEM discipline plus 5+ years of professional software development experience, or 7+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 3 years of development experience in C or C++.
  • Experience with the IEEE 802.11 wireless standard and networking protocols such as UDP and TCP/IP.
  • Experience developing embedded software for networking equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of networks, embedded systems, math, and physics.
  • Experience testing Wi-Fi for performance or stability.
  • Knowledge of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, and continuous monitoring.
  • Knowledge of DHCP, IPv4, IPv6, Linux bridge, and network stack internals.
  • Experience with networking kernel modules and drivers.
  • Experience with Golang, Python, and hostAP is preferred.
  • Experience driving cross-team projects and understanding security issues associated with distributed systems and internet services is preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment are preferred.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.
