Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, modify, and maintain software solutions for internal and external clients.
- Design and implement web-based applications and automation solutions for business processes.
- Provide solution architecture, document designs, write code, and develop program logic for new and existing applications.
- Create Spring Boot microservices and integrate applications through RESTful APIs.
- Ensure functional specifications are technically implementable and deliver technology assets that meet business objectives.
- Apply Agile and DevOps practices to deliver quality products predictably and consistently.
- Develop unit tests and remain accountable for the quality of delivered software.
- Complete installation and maintenance documentation and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal user groups to program applications according to business and systems requirements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in web development, object-oriented analysis and design, and service-oriented architecture.
- Experience designing and developing web-based platforms that automate business processes.
- Strong knowledge of modern automation architectures, technologies, and processes.
- Experience with automation platforms such as Appian, RPA, or similar technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, SQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence and working with automated delivery pipelines.
- Experience developing cloud-native solutions and knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
- A university degree or college diploma, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong technical insight, analytical and problem-solving abilities, adaptability, communication skills, self-direction, multitasking ability, and effectiveness in an Agile environment.
- AWS cloud application experience, wealth management, brokerage or financial-services experience, and completion of the Canadian Securities Course are assets.
- Current work authorization for Canada is required.
