Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain software solutions for financial processes.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle and develop new features as an integrated team member.
- Use accounting expertise to identify gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows.
- Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
- Provide support and consulting on software system usage.
- Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards.
Requirements
- Have prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
- Understand financial operations including reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
- Have 3-7 years of experience for this mid-level development role.
- Be proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Have familiarity with database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, relational database storage and retrieval, backend API development, software engineering tools, development methodologies, and release processes.
- Have demonstrated experience working with Claude or an equivalent large language model tool.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
