Base Salary
$167k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain highly scalable Java backend services for the direct ordering ecosystem and storefront configuration tools.
- Design and optimize robust, flexible APIs.
- Build systems supporting customizable frontend web experiences, direct ordering, and advanced merchant tools.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to translate merchant and consumer needs into reliable backend logic.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep understanding of backend system design, APIs, data stores, microservices, concurrency, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Java and/or Go, with emphasis on engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Preferred experience working on D2C, e-commerce, or transactional product engineering teams.
- Preferred experience building microservices for merchant configurations, ordering states, or payment flows.
- A full-stack background or comfort working closely with frontend technologies is preferred.
