Responsibilities
- Define and evolve enterprise ServiceNow platform architecture in alignment with business objectives, enterprise architecture, and technology strategy.
- Translate complex requirements into secure, scalable, maintainable solutions and reusable architectural patterns.
- Provide architectural guidance across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, IRM, SecOps, HRSD, DevOps, and custom applications.
- Lead ServiceNow modernization, upgrades, release evaluation, and adoption of strategic native capabilities.
- Establish and enforce architecture principles, technical standards, design patterns, governance processes, and engineering guardrails.
- Design enterprise integrations, APIs, MID Server architectures, data flows, and automation patterns.
- Partner with Information Security, Risk, Privacy, and Compliance teams to address security, resiliency, auditability, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure platform architecture supports availability, reliability, scalability, performance, and recoverability.
- Advise engineering, operations, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, product, and business stakeholders on technical decisions and trade-offs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 15+ years of IT experience, including significant ServiceNow architecture, engineering, or solution design experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Architect in a large enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, configuration, application development, integrations, data, and security.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and enterprise integrations.
- Experience establishing architecture standards, design patterns, governance, and engineering guardrails.
- Strong understanding of ITSM/ITIL, security, privacy, risk, and enterprise technology practices.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into pragmatic, scalable technical solutions.
- Strong communication and influencing skills across technical and business stakeholders.
- Financial-services or other highly regulated industry experience preferred.
- Experience with ServiceNow products including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, IRM, SecOps, HRSD, and DevOps preferred.
- Enterprise-scale ServiceNow modernization or transformation experience preferred.
- ServiceNow CSA certification preferred; CIS, CAD, or CTA certifications are also preferred.
