Base Salary
$140k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Learn Ascend’s platform, product, customer workflows, prompt engineering, data extraction, testing, and monitoring practices.
- Contribute to user-facing projects and partner with product managers and designers to solve customer challenges.
- Own prompt logic for part of the product, resolve data extraction issues, and partner on testing and monitoring.
- Track extraction accuracy, investigate trends, and improve internal tooling for customer and organization onboarding.
- Own end-to-end features that process millions in insurance premiums.
- Build intuitive user interfaces for financial operations and maintain product quality through monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with customers to translate needs into scalable solutions for the insurance industry.
- Develop reusable playbooks and prompt strategies for automation.
- Build a point-of-sale system for insurance, automate back-office accounting tasks with AI, and help shape technical architecture and processes.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working at a growth-stage startup.
- Experience with relational databases.
- Experience building and scaling consumer products.
- Strong desire to learn new skills and solve business problems.
- Familiarity with or interest in learning Ruby on Rails and Next.js is preferred.
- Familiarity with building external APIs and integrations such as Salesforce is preferred.
- Experience building payment, checkout, or insurance products is preferred.
