Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain application components for the TRS modernization initiative.
- Build and support MyPAS 3.0 and its integrations with MyTRS and MyERS.
- Develop APIs, system interfaces, and automation workflows.
- Perform coding, unit testing, documentation, code reviews, and pull-request submission.
- Create user stories, define acceptance criteria, and maintain a prioritized backlog.
- Translate technical specifications and business requirements into production-ready software.
- Support migration from legacy systems, including the retirement of the ALICE platform.
- Collaborate with TRS technical staff, analysts, testers, and project managers.
Requirements
- Knowledge of modern application development frameworks, programming languages, and secure coding practices.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies, including Agile.
- Knowledge of business process analysis, functional design principles, documentation standards, user story development, and acceptance criteria definition.
- Knowledge of TRS business rules, including those specific to the Pension Software System.
- Familiarity with legacy systems architecture, dependencies, technologies, and integration points.
- Skill in coding, unit testing, documentation, code reviews, and submitting pull requests for TRS staff review.
- Skill in developing, enhancing, and maintaining application components that meet functional and technical requirements.
- Skill in developing clear, actionable user stories and maintaining a prioritized backlog.
- Skill in developing APIs, system interfaces, and automation workflows.
- Ability to deliver high-quality work with minimal defects and translate technical specifications into maintainable, production-ready software.
- Ability to collaborate with technical staff, analysts, testers, and project managers while managing multiple development tasks and timelines.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
