Responsibilities
- Own an engineering project while collaborating with team members through regular questions and updates.
- Improve existing code through progressive refactoring.
- Ensure reliability through unit, integration, and load testing.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
- Contribute to continuous integration and deployment.
- Build work that improves Lyft’s products for drivers and passengers.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science at a university in Canada.
- Expected graduation between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Master’s students with prior full-time work between degree programs must have less than 2 years of relevant full-time work experience.
- Available for the Summer 2027 internship in Toronto.
- Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a startup environment.
- Experience with real-time technology problems, databases, or mobile development is valued.
- Contributions to open source projects are valued.
