Base Salary
$191k - $293k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Tanium servers and clients.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy new products and supporting services from the ground up.
- Build high-performance, secure, scalable, observable, supportable, and maintainable backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate with product management, customers, and a development team to incorporate feedback into products.
- Debug production issues and create automated tests as part of software development.
- Integrate AI tools and technologies into software development, including AI-assisted coding and prompt engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a computer science degree or related technical field is preferred.
- At least 7 years of industry experience, with 10 or more years preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of C++.
- Experience designing and building high-performance, secure, scalable, observable, supportable, and maintainable backend services and APIs.
- Experience with public cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with cryptographic primitives, TLS, and PKI.
- Experience with HTTP API design and development.
- Experience with modern software development and automation tools such as Git, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
- Strong debugging skills and the ability to respond to production issues under pressure.
- Knowledge of modern server-side and browser-side software frameworks and the ability to learn new tools.
- Effective technical and non-technical written and oral communication skills.

- Hybrid work schedule requiring at least three days per week in the Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; or Emeryville, CA office.
- Annual base salary range of $191,000 to $293,000, excluding equity and other compensation.
