Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and optimize Oracle database solutions using PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and performance-tuned database objects.
- Build and support ETL workflows, data transformations, validation frameworks, batch-processing solutions, and data migration scripts.
- Create schema updates, release deployment packages, and automated database deployment processes.
- Perform database performance tuning using execution plans, indexing, partitioning, optimizer statistics, and Oracle diagnostic and monitoring tools.
- Troubleshoot database, data quality, application integration, and performance issues across environments.
- Develop database unit, regression, data validation, and automated tests for SQL, PL/SQL, ETL, and data migration changes.
- Support CI/CD initiatives involving automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and compliance practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct code reviews and use AI-powered development tools to support development, troubleshooting, documentation, testing, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience as an Oracle developer designing and implementing complex database solutions.
- Experience designing tables, analyzing data, writing complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, and performing tuning and table partitioning.
- Experience with Git and continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot or other developer-assistance tools is expected.
- Familiarity with Agile environments and methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Oracle certification, knowledge of MongoDB or SQL Server, Tableau experience with Oracle, Starburst or other data virtualization technology experience, and Python development experience.
