Responsibilities
- Migrate legacy Flex/AIR features to browser-based single-page applications using React, TypeScript, and modern web tooling.
- Integrate React and AgGrid components with Java, Spring, and SockJS back-end services, including WebSockets and real-time data.
- Support production applications and deployments during maintenance windows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve UI performance, stability, and usability issues.
- Drive technical debt reduction, architectural improvements, and modernization initiatives.
- Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and AI-assisted development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software/Computer Engineering is required.
- At least 5 years of experience building business-critical applications with feature-rich GUIs.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Java, and Spring/Boot.
- Hands-on experience with AgGrid or comparable enterprise data-grid libraries in data-dense GUIs.
- Hands-on experience with browser-based real-time data using WebSockets; STOMP/SockJS experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Spring-based services and RESTful API integration.
- Familiarity with Enzyme, JUnit, and Mockito or comparable testing frameworks.
- Proficiency with Jenkins or equivalent CI/CD pipelines, Git workflow, Maven multi-module builds, and production deployment and support practices.
- Ability to read and reverse-engineer legacy Adobe Flex/AIR code for migration to React single-page applications.
- Active use of Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex is preferred.
- Financial-services or trading-system experience, Spring MVC, MyBatis/iBatis, SQL, and database design knowledge are preferred.
