Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test APIs, tools, and services that simplify onboarding and consumption of the AWS Cloud Platform.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle using Python, TypeScript, React, Terraform, and GitLab.
- Analyze cloud data warehouse information using SQL and DBT to identify trends, measure adoption, and improve platform services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to integrate technologies and improve standards and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues affecting infrastructure performance and reliability.
- Support technology compliance, standards, governance, risk mitigation, and regulatory adherence.
- Document and present technical information while working independently and collaboratively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies across cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware domains.
- Preferred: 2 or more years of hands-on public cloud experience, preferably AWS.
- Preferred: Associate-level certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Preferred: Proficiency in Python and TypeScript, full-stack application development, and React.
- Preferred: Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices, including authentication, authorization, and performance optimization.
- Preferred: Understanding of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing for APIs and web applications.
- Preferred: Experience with AWS ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and EventBridge.
- Preferred: Terraform Infrastructure as Code and GitLab CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Preferred: SQL and DBT data modeling and transformation experience.
- Preferred: Familiarity with the Backstage framework for developer portals.
- Preferred: Interest in evaluating emerging technologies, including AI/ML services and automation tools.
