Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software engineering teams across Apple to understand problem domains and develop performance-focused features.
- Help teams measure, understand, and improve software performance.
- Optimize existing software across iOS, macOS, and watchOS.
- Build tools for software performance analysis.
- Promote performance best practices and troubleshoot performance issues through debugging and analysis.
Requirements
- Experience with at least one object-oriented language and one scripting language such as Python or Ruby.
- Interest in debugging or analysis work.
- BS or MS in computer science or computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience writing native applications for or debugging iOS, macOS, or watchOS.
- Preferred experience with the Xcode Instruments suite and understanding large system architectures.
- Preferred proficiency delivering software written in Swift, SwiftUI, or Objective-C.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
