Responsibilities
- Lead engineering architecture design reviews
- Set a high technical bar through code and architecture design reviews
- Mentor engineers and provide hands-on technical guidance
- Collaborate across Product, Design, and Engineering to create integrated customer solutions
- Improve engineering processes, including long-term planning, sprint planning, and stand-ups
- Build services meeting high availability and latency standards
- Create detailed design documents and deliver technical presentations
- Work with open source technologies and make system design trade-offs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience designing and delivering highly available, scalable cloud-based systems
- Backend service experience with managed languages such as Go, Java, Scala, or C#
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL data stores
- Experience building and operating public cloud-hosted services on Azure or AWS using Kubernetes and infrastructure as code tools
- Experience designing platform components or foundational services supporting multiple teams or products
- Understanding of identity, access control, data encryption, and secure service-to-service communication
- Experience driving SLOs, SLAs, and incident response culture
- Preferred experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Preferred experience with Docker and Podman
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift
- Preferred experience with Terraform and CloudFormation
- Preferred experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack
- Preferred experience with AWS ECS, AWS EKS, Azure DevOps, and Google Cloud Build
- Preferred experience with DevSecOps tools and vulnerability scanning
