Responsibilities
- Lead engineering architecture design reviews.
- Set a high technical bar for the team through code and architecture design reviews.
- Mentor engineers and provide hands-on teaching.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to create integrated solutions.
- Improve engineering processes, including sprint planning and stand-ups.
- Build services that meet high availability and latency standards.
- Work with the latest open source technologies.
- Create detailed design documents and deliver technical presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience designing and delivering highly-available, scalable cloud-based systems.
- Backend service experience in languages such as Go, Java, Scala, or C#.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL data stores.
- Experience building and operating public cloud services on Azure or AWS.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code tools.
- Understanding of platform security concerns.
- Experience driving SLOs, SLAs, and incident response culture.
