Responsibilities
- Set long-term technical strategy and architecture for shared advertising policy models, lifecycle and governance services, evaluation paths, and consumer integration contracts.
- Establish reliability, scalability, security, and operational standards for policy systems spanning campaign planning, creative review, serving, Live workflows, forecasting, and reporting.
- Identify cross-team technical gaps, communicate business impact, and influence partner roadmaps toward platform-wide solutions.
- Deliver code, designs, prototypes, strategies, architecture, and production systems while simplifying systems and accelerating delivery.
- Provide technical leadership, make cross-system architectural decisions, influence without formal authority, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Deep AdTech experience; Ads Policy or Trust and Safety experience is a bonus.
- Deep experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems, ideally on the JVM or a comparable server-side platform.
- Experience solving complex, ambiguous problems and setting technical strategy across multiple systems or teams.
- Strong knowledge of API design, data modeling, schema evolution, versioning, backward compatibility, and correctness-sensitive evaluation.
- Understanding of TypeScript and UX/UI design principles.
- Strong communication, cross-team influence, roadmap alignment, conflict resolution, and mentoring skills.
- Operational experience with performance analysis, testing, observability, incident response, and business-critical production systems.
- Preferred experience with rules engines, policy or entitlement systems, authorization, risk platforms, expression evaluation, advertising technology, campaign management, ad serving, publisher policy, creative moderation, programmatic advertising, trust and safety, regulatory compliance, high-volume batch evaluation, low-latency decision systems, multi-tenant platforms, connected TV, dynamic ad insertion, VAST, or OpenRTB.
