Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive technical strategy for enabling new AI models, model architectures, and Maia hardware generations.
- Lead complex cross-stack investigations involving models, serving systems, infrastructure, and hardware.
- Drive platform-wide performance, scalability, and serving improvements across multiple models and hardware generations.
- Create automation, validation, and engineering systems that improve the speed, reliability, and repeatability of model enablement.
- Align model, software, infrastructure, and hardware teams around technical direction, execution plans, and long-term platform investments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C++ or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Understanding of modern AI model architectures, inference systems, performance optimization, and serving stacks is preferred.
- Experience diagnosing complex problems across models, software, systems, infrastructure, and hardware is preferred.
- Experience enabling software on new hardware platforms, accelerators, or large-scale systems through bring-up, performance characterization, hardware-software debugging, or platform enablement is preferred.
- Experience with modern engineering tools, AI-assisted workflows, automation, and agents is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to drive high-impact technical investments from concept through production and lead cross-team technical initiatives is preferred.
