Responsibilities
- Contribute to real engineering projects involving Salesforce products, platforms, and AI-powered experiences.
- Apply object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, and practical coding skills to implement solutions efficiently.
- Collaborate with engineers and contribute meaningfully to software development workflows.
- Experiment with AI-assisted development tools and prompting techniques in real-world engineering work.
- Review code and artifacts generated by large language model coding assistants and agentic tools when applicable.
- Use telemetry and metrics to support operational excellence and deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in and pursuing a BS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Be enrolled at a college or university in North America and return to school after Summer 2027 to complete the degree.
- Have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design, algorithms, data structures, computer science fundamentals, and practical coding application.
- Have hands-on experience or strong curiosity with AI-assisted development tools and an AI-first approach to learning and engineering.
- Demonstrate collaboration, communication, analytical, problem-solving, adaptability, self-motivation, and eagerness to learn.
- Preferred: experience reviewing code generated by LLM coding assistants or agentic tools and guiding AI tools toward desired outcomes.
- Preferred: experience with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini, or other agent-based frameworks.
- Preferred: coursework in SQL and relational database concepts.
- Preferred: proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and related frameworks, plus working knowledge of HTML and web technologies.
- Preferred: knowledge of front-end and back-end languages and experience using telemetry and metrics.
