Responsibilities
- Own and deliver key components of the Qualcomm AI software stack.
- Develop optimization algorithms for machine-learning operators and layers.
- Enhance AI software frameworks for efficient resource usage on Qualcomm hardware.
- Develop profiling and debugging tools for rapid neural-network deployment.
- Evaluate and optimize neural-network runtime performance and accuracy.
- Work with customer teams to enable network models and AI software features for customer use cases.
- Collaborate with AI hardware and architecture teams to improve Qualcomm AI solutions.
- Coordinate development across teams and contribute to commercial-quality software releases and software quality improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field plus 6+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus 5+ years or a PhD plus 4+ years.
- 6+ years of industry experience is listed for the ideal candidate.
- Strong software development, programming, analytical, development, and debugging skills.
- Professional experience with C/C++ and Python, including C++ work experience.
- Experience optimizing algorithms for hardware acceleration cores using OpenCL, OpenGL ES, and/or DSPs.
- Experience with Python NumPy and deep-learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Knowledge of linear algebra, fast math libraries, multithreading, and vector instruction sets.
- Android or embedded Linux software development experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, learning, and idea-development skills.
