
Software Engineering Intern – Device Simulation & Digital Twin (February 2027)

Responsibilities
- Analyze real DICENTIS device behavior and identify missing simulator scenarios.
- Define and prioritize behaviors needed to expand simulator coverage to approximately 80–90%.
- Design and implement networked simulated-device scenarios using C# and/or C++.
- Make the simulator compatible with Windows and Linux.
- Develop and maintain automated tests that use the simulator in place of physical hardware.
- Integrate the simulator into automated build, test, and continuous integration workflows where applicable.
- Document supported behaviors, architecture, usage, and known limitations.
- Collaborate with engineers and testers and report progress through project milestones.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Solid programming skills in C# and/or C++.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, client-server communication, and networked devices.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and break a larger project into manageable steps.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Motivation to investigate technical problems and develop solutions from an existing foundation.
- Experience with .NET or .NET Core is a plus.
- Familiarity with network protocols, device communication standards, automated testing, continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, or Linux-based development is a plus.
- Coursework or project experience in software engineering, networking, embedded systems, or distributed systems is a plus.
