Base Salary
$215k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality open-source software for Ray’s distributed-programming platform.
- Implement and evaluate architectural improvements to the Ray Core backend.
- Optimize Ray performance for large-scale workloads and improve reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Improve stability, stress-testing infrastructure, and the software testing and release process.
- Lead cross-team projects and mentor junior team members.
- Communicate technical work through talks, tutorials, and blog posts.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience building scalable and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Extensive experience with C/C++ and low-level operating systems.
- Strong background in algorithms, data structures, and system design.
- Knowledge of distributed model training and inference, such as tensor parallelism and pipeline parallelism, is preferred.
- Knowledge of GPU programming is preferred.
