Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and performance-tune complex software applications.
- Lead code reviews, technical delivery, engineering standards, and technical direction for products and domains.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, processes, and software development best practices.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, constructive feedback, and professional development support to engineers.
- Manage technical debt, application health, reliability improvements, and custodianship governance for technology assets.
- Where applicable, line manage junior software engineers and manage task allocation and technical delivery.
- Communicate with stakeholders, understand requirements, provide updates, and influence technical and strategic decisions.
- Drive innovation and contribute to technical communities while applying secure coding and DevOps practices.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages.
- Deep system design expertise and broad technical understanding of the ecosystem supporting the domain.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong understanding of security principles and secure coding practices.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, assess performance, and deliver constructive feedback.
- Ability to manage delivery, application health, engineering standards, and technology governance.
- Ability to apply AI concepts and tools to solve routine problems with minimal guidance.
- Effective communication and stakeholder-management skills.
