Base Salary
$220k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Customize, deploy, harden, and reliably operate Postman data-path components in customer environments.
- Engineer high-throughput, low-latency, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems handling live customer traffic.
- Build identity, policy, governance, and observability controls that enable enterprises to operate AI agents safely.
- Convert customer deployment experience into durable product and platform capabilities.
- Set the engineering bar for FDE data-path work, mentor engineers, and help grow the team.
- Work directly with enterprise customers and field teams on complex production engineering challenges.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend or systems engineering experience with end-to-end ownership of large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience building high-throughput, low-latency backend services with expertise in concurrency, performance tuning, fault tolerance, and high availability.
- Expert-level experience with a backend or systems language such as Go, Python, Java, Rust, or C++, operating on Linux.
- A track record as a technical lead or architect for a significant backend system.
- Ability to work autonomously, make independent decisions, and drive high-stakes field projects to completion.
- Interest in enterprise identity, authorization, policy, governance, and observability controls for Applied AI.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to engage directly with customers and field teams.
- Preferred experience deploying and operating software in on-premises, appliance, agent, or self-hosted customer environments, including installation, upgrades, and remote diagnosis.
- Preferred familiarity with OAuth2, OIDC, SCIM, API gateways, policy enforcement systems, LLM-based agents, MCP, evaluation frameworks, agent orchestration, and observability for heterogeneous environments.

- Roles based in San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Austin, New York City, Tokyo, and London require five days per week in the office; Bangalore roles currently require three days per week and are expected to transition to five days per week by year end.
