Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Python, PyTest, Playwright, Selenium, and Robot Framework.
- Develop and execute automated tests for functional, regression, integration, unit, API, and web application testing.
- Design test scenarios, analyze results, debug failures, and report software defects with supporting evidence.
- Develop test strategies and comprehensive coverage from business and technical requirements.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and support Dockerized test execution environments.
- Maintain and enhance frameworks for reliability, reusability, and test coverage.
- Perform code reviews and follow automation coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure product quality.
- Contribute to embedded-device testing and mobile application automation where applicable.
- For senior-level candidates, lead automation strategy, mentor team members, and manage team deliverables and performance.
Requirements
- 2–9 years of experience in QA automation or test engineering.
- Strong Python programming and scripting experience.
- Hands-on experience with PyTest, Playwright, Selenium, and/or Robot Framework.
- Experience with web application automation, API automation, test execution, result analysis, debugging, and defect reporting.
- Knowledge of automation framework design, development, maintenance, and software testing methodologies.
- Experience with code reviews, automation best practices, Dockerization, and containerized test execution.
- Experience with embedded-device testing and Appium-based mobile automation is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD integration, continuous testing, test reporting, and automation optimization is preferred.
- Team leadership, mentoring, and people management experience is preferred for senior-level candidates.
