Base Salary

$78k - $176k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, scale, govern, and optimize Databricks data-platform infrastructure and distributed processing environments.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terragrunt.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines and DataOps workflows using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
  • Implement platform observability, logging, and operational monitoring using Splunk or Dynatrace.
  • Support enterprise governance, change requests, and auditable applications.
  • Assist with AI capability integration, MLOps support, budget controls, and cloud and Databricks compute-cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with a 70+ person cross-functional team spanning Data Engineering, AI, Data Science, Governance, and Reporting.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience with Python and SQL, including interacting with infrastructure-management APIs and CLI tools.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Databricks platform architecture, administration, and distributed processing environments.
  • At least 2 years of experience implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Terragrunt.
  • Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and DataOps workflows using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience implementing observability, logging, and operational monitoring with Splunk or Dynatrace.
  • Experience with enterprise governance, change requests, and auditable applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Preferred qualifications include 3+ years configuring Databricks components, especially Unity Catalog, workflows, and Delta Lake architecture.
  • Preferred experience includes Scala or Java, scaling AI workloads, integrating AI technologies, supporting MLOps, Agile development, and optimizing Databricks and cloud compute costs.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
