Base Salary
$122k - $186k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support JCATS and JLOD software builds, configuration management, release preparation, deployment, and operational sustainment.
- Develop, maintain, and execute integration, regression, system, and acceptance test plans.
- Test JCATS capabilities, interfaces, workflows, and federated integrations; document, reproduce, prioritize, and track defects and operational issues.
- Maintain automated test scripts and test data and contribute to testing tools, quality metrics, automation priorities, and release-readiness criteria.
- Support configuration control, release notes, technical documentation, and operational readiness reviews.
- Develop and deliver JCATS training courses covering operations, workflows, exercise procedures, user processes, and database topics.
- Support users through classroom, exercise, hands-on, and customer-site training activities.
- Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, test scenarios, and course documentation.
- Provide customer support, troubleshooting, exercise support, and integration support for external models, tools, and training events.
- Collaborate with developers, systems engineers, analysts, and users to improve software quality, reliability, and deployment processes.
- Provide informal mentorship and guidance at the SES.2 level.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical area, or an equivalent combination of education and related technical experience.
- Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for the clearance.
- Knowledge of basic networking, software configuration, data management, and Linux operating systems.
- Fundamental knowledge of software development and/or testing and of briefing, coaching, evaluating, and debriefing training participants.
- Fundamental knowledge of military operations, organizational structures, and nomenclature.
- Ability to work under time constraints, adapt to changing scenarios, and resolve limited-complexity problems.
- Verbal and written communication skills sufficient to collaborate effectively and present and explain technical information.
- At the SES.2 level, broad experience developing, implementing, and maintaining automated software testing tools and frameworks.
- At the SES.2 level, broad experience developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software applications implemented in C++.
- At the SES.2 level, ability to work with minimal guidance and apply analytical and problem-solving skills to moderately complex problems.
- Desired qualifications include a master’s degree or equivalent experience, event-based software simulation experience, complex client/server software development, object-oriented GUI development using OpenGL, and knowledge of plane and solid geometry and vector analysis.
