Base Salary
$147k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the platform’s core capabilities and interfaces.
- Own the authoring experience for agents from initial development through production deployment.
- Build the UI, CLI, SDK, and APIs used to deploy agents, run evaluations, and understand results.
- Develop and operate internal agents in production.
- Write documentation, quickstarts, and example agents for external developers.
- Prioritize work based on user blockers and recurring partner problems.
- Create tools and skills that improve team productivity.
- Work directly with external partners and their developers, including occasional on-site visits.
- Collaborate with product managers and other engineers on platform direction.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience across web UIs, backend services, CLIs, and cloud tooling.
- Track record of shipping products to external users and communicating directly with users.
- Strong prioritization and judgment, with an emphasis on fixing blockers and keeping scope small.
- Experience writing clean, tested code and reviewing others’ code.
- Strong API design judgment and preference for simple designs.
- Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, including creating custom skills or tools.
- Willingness to write documentation as part of the development process.
- Clear technical communication with engineers and non-engineers.
- Preferred experience with developer tools, CLIs, SDKs, or public APIs for external users.
- Preferred experience building or operating LLM agents, including prompts, tools, and evaluations.
- Preferred experience building evaluation or experimentation systems.
- Small or growth-stage company experience is preferred.
- Public technical work such as open-source contributions, technical writing, or side projects is preferred.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
