Responsibilities
- Build scalable distributed systems for high traffic from numerous devices.
- Work with high concurrency key-value storage systems like Redis and DynamoDB.
- Utilize Postgres relational databases in system development.
- Implement logging and message passing technologies such as Kafka and SQS.
- Deploy services using Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Develop large-scale systems for remote product interaction and configuration.
- Define and enhance microservice architectures for low-latency and high-reliability.
- Design and develop features using advanced computer vision technologies.
- Create clean APIs and implement them using Python and/or Go.
Requirements
- Must be able to work at Verkada HQ during winter or summer 2026.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, graduating by June 2027.
- Prior internship experience in product development is preferred.
- Familiarity with Python or Golang, distributed systems, and operating systems is required.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, and agile team environments is beneficial.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and Linux servers is a plus.
