Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end software architecture, design, and delivery of advanced enterprise wireless access point features.
- Design and develop Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7 capabilities for enterprise-grade performance.
- Architect and implement Wi-Fi Mesh, Neighbor Awareness Networking, Fine Timing Measurement/locationing, and 802.11k/v/r roaming features.
- Collaborate with Wi-Fi chipset vendors on SDK integration, firmware customization, performance tuning, and hardware platform enablement.
- Deliver cloud-managed and firewall-managed capabilities including zero-touch provisioning, remote configuration, real-time monitoring, and centralized control.
- Orchestrate data paths between access point firmware, local security firewalls, and cloud management dashboards.
Requirements
- Deep experience developing Wi-Fi access point products and strong knowledge of IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be standards.
- Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi Mesh, NAN, 802.11mc, 802.11az, and 802.11k/v/r roaming development.
- Expertise in embedded Linux, Linux kernel internals, device drivers, hostapd, wpa_supplicant, and system-level debugging.
- Strong C/C++ development skills for resource-constrained embedded networking platforms.
- Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, QoS, and enterprise network protocols.
- Practical knowledge of wireless security protocols, firewall systems, IDS/IPS, threat detection, and AP-level policy enforcement.
- Preferred experience with DPI, malware detection, sandboxing, SDN, cloud-managed networking, telemetry and analytics collection, and DevOps automation.
- Preferred understanding of RF concepts including DFS, dynamic channel planning, interference mitigation, and automated performance optimization.
- Exposure to AI/ML applications for predictive wireless performance optimization, Wi-Fi analytics, or anomaly detection is preferred.
- Prior technical leadership or architecture ownership experience shipping commercial carrier-grade or enterprise-grade networking products is preferred.
