Responsibilities
- Design and implement trusted safe navigation and collision avoidance systems.
- Develop scalable sub-systems including sensor processing and motion planning.
- Contribute to the design of reusable software components across product lines.
- Utilize advanced techniques in computer vision and machine learning.
- Conduct testing and validation of algorithms through simulation and real-world data analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for effective system integration.
- Travel to co-locate with end-users and teams up to 20% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in C++ and/or Python software development.
- Familiarity with autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors.
- Knowledge of computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, or machine learning.
- Experience in a senior perception or planning role for robotic systems.
- Ability to act as a technical owner for system design and implementation.
- Capacity to define and implement validation strategies for perception and planning modules.
- Eligible for Australian Government Negative Vetting 2 security clearance.
