Responsibilities
- Create and maintain embedded systems and software projects from concept through integration, validation, release, and product support.
- Design and develop embedded software in C, using AI-powered coding tools such as GitHub Copilot where appropriate.
- Develop and execute unit and integration test strategies across simulation, laboratory, vehicle, and machine environments.
- Analyze and resolve software defects from laboratory and field environments using root-cause analysis and maintain technical documentation.
- Validate software in real-world operating environments and integrate it with mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic product systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams across Brazil, the United States, Mexico, Germany, and India.
- Participate in machine testing, field validation, and other hands-on product activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or a related field.
- At least one year of proven software engineering experience through professional work, internships, academic projects, or other university-related activities.
- Experience with technical projects, major product features, or engineering teams.
- Experience with systems engineering, including requirements, architecture, interfaces, integration, and verification.
- Hands-on troubleshooting involving software, hardware, systems, and test environments.
- Strong communication, advanced English proficiency, and effective collaboration with global and cross-functional teams.
- Ability and willingness to learn quickly and work beyond the current area of expertise.
- Preferred experience with C++, Python, RTOS, Linux, model-based development, CAN, ISOBUS, Ethernet, or Bluetooth.
- Preferred knowledge of ASPICE, the V-Model, functional safety, ISO 25119, CI/CD, test automation, or requirements traceability.
- Preferred experience with AI assistants, automation, agent-based engineering workflows, electronics debugging, Hardware-in-the-Loop systems, machine testing, or field validation.
