Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive performance test plans covering objectives, scope, workload models, scenarios, environments, test data, risks, and reporting.
- Define performance test strategies aligned with application architecture and business requirements.
- Design and execute performance, load, stress, spike, endurance/soak, scalability, and capacity tests.
- Develop performance test scripts and scenarios for web applications and REST/API services.
- Analyze performance results and identify application, API, database, infrastructure, and network bottlenecks.
- Produce performance reports with findings, trends, analysis, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, DevOps, architects, and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues.
- Support testing across environments and releases, maintain testing assets and documentation, and provide scalability and capacity-planning recommendations.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on performance testing or performance engineering experience.
- Strong API testing and API performance testing experience.
- Experience creating performance test plans and strategies, workload models, scenarios, objectives, acceptance criteria, and performance KPIs.
- Experience with SmartBear LoadNinja, LoadUI, or comparable performance testing tools.
- Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, XML, and API authentication.
- Experience analyzing response time, throughput, concurrency, error rate, CPU, memory, database, and network metrics.
- Experience with SQL and database performance analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Preferred experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, k6, cloud platforms, APM/monitoring tools, Docker, Kubernetes, distributed systems, CI/CD integration, capacity planning, and production performance analysis.
