Base Salary
$113k - $124k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with product and software engineering teams on design reviews, threat modeling, penetration testing, code reviews, security issue remediation, and related security activities.
- Review product system architectures, define security requirements, and research additional security capabilities.
- Guide software developers, system engineers, and hardware/firmware engineers on security practices, threat mitigations, and remediation planning.
- Participate in the PSIRT team’s vulnerability management, coordinated vulnerability disclosure, and incident response activities.
- Collaborate with R&D Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Service teams to reduce security risk.
- Develop and deliver security training to internal development teams and stakeholders.
- Evaluate security tools and technologies and build internal tools as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least three years of systems security administration, control, software engineering, or related experience.
- At least two years of experience in product security architecture, security testing, security consultancy, vulnerability management, or equivalent work.
- Knowledge of security standards and frameworks including OWASP, NIST, SANS, MITRE ATT&CK, and UL 2900.
- Experience implementing effective Secure SDLC frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, interpersonal, communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.
- Preferred but not required: embedded systems, firmware, IoT security, product vulnerability management, and cloud security experience.
- Preferred but not required: development experience in C#, C++, or Java.
- Preferred but not required: OSCP, OSCE, or OSWE certification.
