Responsibilities
- Develop and operate data engineering frameworks, reusable components, services, and best practices for SAP Data Product Engineers.
- Extend data engineering frameworks so AI agents can discover and consume Data Products at scale.
- Build AI assistants that accelerate the development and operation of Data Products.
- Create robust, scalable pipelines and incrementally deliver frameworks and services with an international engineering team.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner, Tech Lead, and agile peers on feature definition and technical design.
Requirements
- Strong background in data engineering and experience building enterprise-quality Data Products, preferably using Lakehouse architecture.
- Proficiency in Python development.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as GitHub and CI/CD frameworks such as GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, and Delta Lake.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Knowledge of and interest in agentic AI, with proficiency in frameworks such as LangGraph.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
