Responsibilities
- Own the DevOps technical roadmap, vision, standards, golden paths, reusable infrastructure-as-code modules, and pipeline templates.
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Architect and operate Kubernetes and managed container platforms, including EKS, AKS, and GKE.
- Own CI/CD strategy, pipeline architecture, GitOps workflows, automation, environment provisioning, and deployment practices.
- Define observability, reliability, incident response, on-call, disaster recovery, capacity, scalability, and backup strategies.
- Embed DevSecOps standards including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, image signing, policy as code, and compliance automation.
- Drive cloud cost optimization through right-sizing, autoscaling, and FinOps practices.
- Represent the DevOps practice in client discovery, pre-sales, infrastructure estimation, and cloud and platform advisory conversations.
- Mentor and coach DevOps and software engineers, review infrastructure and pipeline changes, assess candidates, and help develop team capabilities.
- Lead technical decisions, continuous improvement initiatives, lessons-learned sessions, and DORA metrics tracking across projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform, or infrastructure engineering, including 2+ years leading teams or owning the DevOps function for multiple products or clients.
- Extensive hands-on experience with at least two major cloud providers and working knowledge of the third among AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Deep infrastructure-as-code experience, with Terraform strongly preferred, and configuration management experience such as Ansible.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python, Bash, or Go.
- Strong grounding in cloud security, IAM, networking, and compliance-driven environments.
- Experience mentoring and developing engineering teams, communicating with technical and business audiences, and advising senior client stakeholders.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and a collaborative, client-facing working style.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or CKA are a plus.
