Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, test, debug, document, and implement Oracle-based application and database functionality.
- Create and maintain SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and data-processing routines.
- Troubleshoot application and database issues, investigate production alerts and failures, and support incident resolution.
- Monitor, analyze, and tune application and database performance while identifying system improvements.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to analyze requirements and existing processes and translate them into technical solutions.
- Work across requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Work independently on moderately complex assignments and serve as a resource to less-experienced team members.
- May lead small development projects or workstreams with manageable scope, risk, and resource needs.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience developing Oracle database applications using SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience creating and maintaining stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and complex SQL queries.
- Experience troubleshooting application and database issues, including production support and incident resolution.
- Experience with application and database performance monitoring, analysis, and tuning.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing, debugging, documentation, deployment, and post-production support.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and existing application logic and develop effective technical solutions.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and solve complex technical problems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with business and technology partners.
- Exposure to Java-based applications, services, or integrations is preferred.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment and leading small development projects or mentoring less-experienced developers is preferred.
