Responsibilities
- Build and maintain fast, accessible, responsive web applications with React and TypeScript.
- Contribute to frontend architecture, shared component libraries, and the design system.
- Optimize CDN delivery, caching, assets, code splitting, lazy loading, and Core Web Vitals.
- Integrate frontend applications with REST and GraphQL APIs and backend services in a cloud-based environment.
- Translate Figma designs into polished, production-ready interfaces and provide feedback on designs that do not perform well in real use.
- Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and improve CI/CD processes.
- Monitor, debug, and resolve development and production issues.
- Collaborate with QA and product teams to ship reliable features.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional frontend development experience building production-grade web applications.
- Strong React and TypeScript experience, including hooks, component design, and rendering performance.
- Experience with state management and data fetching tools such as TanStack Query, Zustand, or Redux.
- Solid modern CSS and responsive, mobile-first development experience using Tailwind, CSS Modules, or similar technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Core Web Vitals, bundle analysis, lazy loading, and caching.
- Production experience integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards and accessibility testing.
- Automated testing experience with Vitest or Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright or Cypress.
- Familiarity with frontend security basics including XSS, CSP, and secure token handling.
- Comfort with Git-based workflows, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work effectively in an AI-assisted workflow using tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor while reviewing and taking ownership of generated code.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Nice-to-have experience deploying frontend applications on AWS using S3 and CloudFront, including cache invalidation and CDN strategy.
- Nice-to-have experience with SSR/SSG frameworks, design systems, Storybook, monitoring and analytics tools, internationalization, and high-traffic or performance-critical SPAs.
- Additional beneficial experience includes Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals, k6, JMeter, WordPress Multisite, Redis, Varnish, Docker, WP-CLI, and testing event, ticketing, or payment flows.
