Responsibilities

  • Ramp up on the assigned codebase, product area, and system.
  • Meet customers to understand their workflows and translate needs into clear specifications.
  • Develop, test, and deploy production-ready code across simulation infrastructure components.
  • Identify problem statements, design solutions, and account for tradeoffs and edge cases.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support seamless software integration.
  • Communicate with multiple stakeholders and seek guidance from senior developers when needed.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Have at least one additional quarter or semester of school remaining after the internship.
  • Have experience coding in Python or C++.
  • Be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, during the 12-week summer internship period.
  • A master’s degree program, software engineering experience, robotics or ROS experience, Unreal experience, data pipeline knowledge, developer productivity tooling experience, performance-constrained software experience, or safety-critical code experience is preferred.
  • Intent to return to a degree program after completing the internship is preferred.
