Base Salary
$179k - $273k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build platforms for agentic developer workflows, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, skills, plugins, and MCP servers.
- Design and build self-service workflows in the Backstage developer portal, the developer CLI, IDE integrations, and an agent development framework.
- Own and evolve the Cloud Development Environment platform for human developers and AI agents.
- Improve organization-wide build systems, CI/CD pipelines, test infrastructure, and observability.
- Prototype and evaluate new AI developer tools and determine how to adopt, configure, and scale them across the engineering organization.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building developer infrastructure, Developer Experience, or platform tools used by other engineers at 100+ engineer scale.
- Strong systems thinking across build pipelines, CI/CD, development environments, and test infrastructure.
- A UX mindset focused on personas, journeys, and end-to-end engineering workflows.
- Hands-on experience with agentic developer tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, with informed opinions about their limitations and scalable use.
- Fluency in Go and Python for CLIs, services, MCP servers, and Slackbots, plus TypeScript and React for web user interfaces.
- At least 6 years of industry software engineering experience, including cross-team projects with measurable engineering productivity impact.
